The UGC, New Delhi invites application to pursue higher studies at Finland during 2010-11. They are awarding fellowship of 1200 EURO per month.

The number and the value of the scholarships will vary depending on the availability of funds under each head. The total number of Scholarships disbursed during the year 2009 was 78 (SJET:54; PTA:14; HOSTEL:10 ) and the scholarship amount was in the range from Rs 1000/- to Rs 1800/- per month. The SJE Trust/ PTA/ NITC Hostel will award these Scholarships to deserving students based on the recommendations of the sub-committee constituted for the purpose. The application forms can be obtained from the Photocopy Centre operating at NITC Library Entrance for (Rs 1/-) or can be downloaded from NITC Website. The completed applications supported by the copies of the certificates and duly countersigned by their Faculty Advisor and Head of the Department may be handed over to the Office of the concerned Head of the Department on or before 4-01-2010. Incomplete applications will be rejected without notice to the applicant. Please refer the SJE Trust Notice Board {at the ground floor of the Main Building (MB)} for further Circular/Notice in this regard.

Applications are invited for the following Research Programmes in the academic year 2009-2010 (January Session).

1. M.S. (By Research) Programme (Full Time)

Eligibility – Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate Branch of Engineering with valid GATE score Institute Scholarship - Rs.8, 000/-

2. Ph.D. Programme (Full Time)

Eligibility – Master’s Degree in Engineering / Sciences

Candidates can download the application form and details from the website www.nitt.edu. Downloaded and filled in applications should be accompanied by Registration fee of Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST Candidates) by means of Demand Draft drawn not earlier than 11th November, 2009 and in favor of “DIRECTOR, NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, TIRUCHIRAPPALLI-620015” payable at State Bank of India, NIT Branch (Code 1617) Tiruchirappalli. The candidates are requested to write their names and the programme to which they are applying on the reverse side of the draft. The application forms, with necessary enclosures, should reach the Dean (Academic), National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli – 620 015 by 4th December, 2009.
